-------------------------1999 CedInPro Development------------------------- Select preferences from the file menu: Startup window size The first thing you can do is choosing if you want to use the normal sized window or a smaller window. The smaller window doesn't show any information and the only available function is to start a manual check. The benefits having the small window is that is you have a window that don't takes so much of the space on your desktop. There is however an option that change the main window back to normal when a new mail is received. Startup window position The next option makes it possible for you to save the current position of the window on specific spot on your desktop. To do this, follow this simple instructions: 1. Move the mail window to the place you've choosen on your desktop to be the special spot. 2. Open the preferences window and click on 'Window" to enter the right preferences. 3. Click on the 'Save current position' button. 4. You're done! (You must enter information in all of the fields) Check this account User this box to enable/disable checking on this account POP3 or Hotmail Use this radio buttons to select the type of current account. If you select a hotmail account, some functions will be disabled. Account name Enter the name of the account (i.e the name of the provider or your nick name) Mail host Enter the internet adress of your POP-server (i.e mail.provider.com or yourdomain.com). The adress is the same as the one you're using in your regular email program and is often refered as 'POP3' server or 'Incoming mail server' User name Enter your mail user name. Password Enter your mail password. Enable extra functions... User this box to enable/disable the extended functions for selected account. Extended function include getting info and enable functions for downloading or deleting mail for the server. Select folder Click this button to select a folder that will be used for storing mail that you have choosen to download to your computer. Count only new mails Extra option for hotmail making the program report only new mail not the total number of mails. Auto check Check this box to enable the autocheck function. Enter the time (in minutes) between checks in the field. Connection to internet If you have a dialup connection to internet select 'PPP' otherwise select 'Network'. If you have selected 'PPP' connection you have some more option to configure. Don't check if not connected to internet The program doesn't check if you not are connected. Connect on check if not connected If you not are connected the program will try to open a connection use OT/PPP (other programs are not yet supported). Close connection after check Close connection after all accounts have been checked. If the connection was active before the check started, the program will not closed the connection. Visual Check this box and you will get a window that notify you if you have any new mails in the account checked. Sound Use this to get a audio signal that notify you if you have any new mails in the account checked. |
